Making the Call

For weeks and months now, I have been receiving calls and emails from a number of people inquiring into how their loved one can apply to be a resident of Yahweh Warrior Lodge.

This brings me great joy and at times sadness. The joy is in knowing the word is getting out that Yahweh Warrior Lodge exists! The sadness is in my awareness that when it is the family member reaching out there is often desperation attached to that call. They are searching for answers and want their loved one to be safe and sober.  As do I!

Certainly, they and I both know the call is not coming from the one caught in the cycle of addiction. We both know their loved one will eventually have to be the one to make that call or fill out the application or at least be the one who attends the interview.

Too many of us have lost loved ones that we imagine could have lived if only they had an opportunity to be in a place such as Yahweh Warrior Lodge. This is what motivates us all to give and support a place that can save lives and prevent heartache and loss for other families.

I will continue to pray for those who are battling their addictions and the families who love them.

We thank God we are ready to open our doors as we invite men to open their hearts to the One who created them! It will be their journey to freedom in Christ as they transform into the warriors they were destined to be!
